Dr. Zakir Hussain teacher’s training College, Laheriasarai, Darbhanga holds a unique position in the realm of vocational Education by virtue of the dedicated services of its staff and enlightened Leadership of Management, thus being crowned with laurels after laurels on all fronts.
Decline of the college is exemplary and is a matter of envy for other centres of learning. Every breath of its life emits fragrance, permeating the entire atmosphere which virtue, truth and love inculcated into the soul of every students thus enabling him to fulfil and take up the onerous task of shaping young mind and contributed to the building of a strong and integrated nation.
Regular exercise like debates, seminars, symposia, other cultural activities and sports are regular features of the college during the period of training and the students are kept fully engaged throughout to come out fully balanced through process.
Library
The library of the college is very rich, having ten thousand books in the various areas of Education as well as general education. The college has also established a rich Book Bank for the benefit of the students of the college. A large number of Journals and periodicals with national and international repute adorn the library. There is also a reading room attached with it for the use of the students.
Magazine
The college publishes an annual college magazine named "Roshni" for the benefit of the students. This magazine gives an opportunity to the students to brush up their talent by contributing article in it. As a matter of fact Magazine is an academic exercise of the student for the better growth of the self.
Z-mirror is a quarterly bulletin published by the college. It is edited by the students under the guidance of the teachers.
Psychological Lab
The psychology lab is well equipped with all related facilities for the trainees of B.Ed; M.Ed, and primary sections. This lab is very spacious with necessary furniture and fixture.
Science Lab
There is a science lab which is well equipped to cater to the need of trainees of B.Ed, and primary sections to make them well- versed in the modern technique of Teaching
IT Lab
There is an Information Technology lab in the college to keep the students of B.Ed, and M.Ed - abreast with the basic necessities of Information Technology.
Computer Lab
In the light of the challenge of today, facilities for computer education have been provided to keep the trainees well-informed with computer education with internet provisions so that they may compete with others. As a matter of fact the computer lab is an extension of the IT. Hence for better education and training there is a computer lab in the college which helps the trainees in getting connected with the world.
Linguistic lab
As per standard fixed by NCTE for Primary Training, there is a linguistic lab in the college for the Primary Teacher Training Section
Students Councelling centre
The College has a counseling centre run under the Psychology Department. The centre deals with personal inter-personal, academic and vocational issues as we) I as provide growth oriented training for improving Psycho qualities and personality development. Students finding themselves in the grip of personal adjustment, difficulties can seek the help of well-qualified and experienced counselor.
Health Services
Every student of the college undergoes a medical check-up during the academic session. In association with DMCH, students & staff of the college are provided with medical health counseling.
National Service Scheme
Education through service is the dimension the NSS imparts to the students community. The NSS aims to draw the students close to social realities and evaluation of social projects with participation in the development projects for weaker section of society.
The Alumuni Association
The Alumni Association" of the college consists of all former students of the college who have enrolled themselves as annual member/life member by paying a subscription.

There are physical Education Lab, Cardboard lab, Agri /Horticulture lab and needle thread work lab for the trainees.  |
